The Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School 〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School )〕 is a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated school located at Anderson road, Egmore in Chennai. It is recognized as the first CBSE school in Chennai. It is ranked as one of the best CBSE schools in Chennai ever since its inception and produces regional toppers in 10th and 12th board exams every single year. All classrooms are powered with "Educomp Smartclass", along with a digital library available for the students and the teachers. It also has high-tech labs, a well-stocked canteen, two vast libraries with thousands of books and journals and a playschool (The Carousel). It is an English medium school and offers students with a choice of second and third language courses in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Sanskrit and French. The school is spacious with an area of around 3 acres and situated in the heart of the city. It has a colossal auditorium where cultural events take place on a regular basis and also has a massive playground for sports from football to cricket, volleyball and badminton courts, athletics tracks and a range of indoor games facilities. The school holds the cultural event "Genesis" for the 11th and 12th grade students..sorry they ask students for sponsoring the event , inviting students from other schools to perform in the event. The Madras Week, which marks the founding of the city, is celebrated in the school auditorium in August. The school's principal is Mrs. Suma Padmanabhan, and the vice principal is Mrs. P J Sabitha. The school has about a 100 teachers both in the Primary and Senior Sections.
